Hair clippers
Buying and using your own hair clippers on family members
can help a family save a lot of money on paying barbers. One of the
reasons some do not do this is because they do not feel comfortable
using clippers and cutting hair.
Like anything, learning to cut hair takes practice. But, if you follow
these next four steps closely, it should not take very long until you
are comfortable using hair clippers.
• Step 1 – The first thing you should do when using hair
clippers is trim the back of the head. Start at the bottom of the hair,
near the neck, and work your way up.
• Step 2 – This same process should then be repeated around
the sides of the person’s head whose hair you are cutting. Be
careful to not go up too high with the hair clippers if the hair is
supposed to have a part in it.
• Step 3 – When you get to the bangs, measure out the length
using your fingers. With your fingers still in place, use the hair clippers
or scissors to trim along the edge of your fingers.
• Step 4 – For the top of the head, scissors are typically
used more than hair clippers, but the clippers can be used with certain
hairstyles.
Using hair clippers effectively might take some time, but it should
not take too long before you are comfortable.
