Hair straightener

If you are using a hair straightened, there are a number of steps that you will need to follow to ensure that you are doing things in the right way.

• Use heat protection – This may take a couple of extra minutes when using a hair straightened, but it is definitely better for your hair.
• Crank it up – The flat iron should be turned up to a high setting. If your hair is prone to being damaged easy by a hair straightened, don’t risk ruining it. Just wait a couple of extra minutes for the device to heat up all the way.
• Straighten by layers – It is best if you use the hair straightened first to straighten the bottom layer and then secondly then straighten the top layer. By straightening one layer at a time, you are more likely to be able to get the desired results that you are looking for.
• Brush it out – When finished with the hair straightened, put it aside and brush all your hair together. Spraying with hairspray might help keep it straight.
